A different range of targets this week at Butlers, with a couple that caught most of us out.
No one broke through the 80% mark (60 ex 75) and the awkward targets were easily identified from a cursory glance at each scorecard. Top scratch score was a 59 put in by Malcolm Sykes, It earned him the Gold medal from Julian Waszczak's creditable 56 .
Bronze was won by another 56 from Bob Warder who was just beaten to Silver when the handicap scores were added. Dave Talbot's excellent 52 won him the Handicap Gold. Robert Wilson took the handicap silver medal by beating his average by just under 4 tagets. A great result on a difficult day Robert.
Don Walford is steadily improving and this week's 44 hits gave him a well earned Bronze medal. Keep up the good work Don.
South Worcester also put on some fresh targets resulting in some good scores. Malcolm Sykes put in a superb 89 hits to easily take the scratch Gold. The Silver and Bronze were each won with a creditable 83. Len took the runner up slot after the handicap scores wer added.
Dave Salter took the Bronze. Handicap Gold went to Phil Collins who's 68 beat his average by over 5 targets. Geoff Pomroy took the handicap silver with an excellent 82 targets broke, another 5 better than his average. Malcolm's scratch gold also earned him thr Handicap Bronze. A great day's shooting all round.
