Some super scores at Butlers this week. The top score proved the old adage that the cream will always come to the top. After a few mixed weeks, Bob Warder finally returned to top form with an outstanding 68 broken targets to take the Scratch Gold medal. Runner up with another super score, was Simon Honeyborne who's 65 suggests he too is now back at his best. In third place was Len Sandford who's 64 beat Julian Waszczak's similar score on handicap adjustment. The Handicap Gold medal was won by Chris Monk who beat his average by a massive 11.7 points. I had noticed that Chris was shooting with a very tidy side by side. He explained to me that he needed some practice for an upcoming Game shoot so he felt the need put in some practice with his game gun. Handicap runner up, just half a point behind Chris was Suzanne Small. I believe that her 60 score was achieved using her new 20g. and I had to go back to 2017 to find her previous 60 score. Great shooting Su. Malcolm Speer took the Handicap third place.
Julian Waszczak joined us at South Worcester and took the top scratch position with a creditable 75 ex 100. Len was runner-up with 71 and Tony Gray took third place with a score of 66. With no previous score this year, Julian's 75 gave him his winning 100 handicap rating. Similarly, Tony Grays Australian house guest Lockie Bath posted another 100-point handicap figure, albeit from a much lower score. John Griffiths took the Handicap third place.
Some good shooting this week.
