Visited Tony Gray in hospital on Monday last and found him in good spirits considering how long he has been made to wait for  his bypass operation. We both will be glad when he gets back behind the stock of a shotgun. Another cold day again but surprisingly, the car park at Butler's was packed at 9.45 when I arrived. Mr Butler must have been entertaining a large corporate group.

Results were better than in recent weeks with  Julian Waszczak 66 taking highest score Gold medal. Runner up was another high-scoring regular, Bob Jordan, whose 64 took the Silver place. Len took the Bronze place on handicap difference from Chris Arthur. Handicap Gold was won by Bob Jordan who pipped Drew Beaumont by less than a target.Top scorer, Julian, filled the Handicap bronze position. Some excellent handicap scores this week with only one Dodger not beating his average score.

A different story at South Worcester which was not helped by a biting cold wind that bounced the range tagets everywhere except where we were shooting. With Tony in New Cross hospital, there were only three of us on the card and the scores were dire.  Len's 65 was the best of a poor lot as it just prevailed over Jonathan Skelding's similar score on handicap difference. John Griffith's mighty 28g was found wanting with a score of just 47%. His lowest score this year. Handicap positions exactly mirrored the scratch result. Next week, things will be better!
