This week’s shoot saw the occasion of Ian’s 65th birthday. Ian came along as a non-shooter and bestowed upon the mornings gathering much chocolate! Len lead a chorus of ‘Happy Birthday to You’ which left Gareth running for the door! Very best wishes from the Dodgers and we trust you had a great day!!

Dave S managed to attend today and was high gun. A score of 67/75 was recorded but this proved to be slightly optimistic when checked. Two targets deducted which were later reclaimed at South Worcester when they were added to his score taking him to high gun with 76/100.

Congratulations to Simon who is this week’s handicap medal winner. This week’s scores have been produced excluding one score card which is not available at the time of writing the newsletter.

Martyn managed to put in an appearance this week. He used to shoot with the Dodgers frequently in ‘days of old’. Always welcome back to our Christmas shoot. It appears that Suz has fallen victim to ‘Malcolming’ after leaving her gun on one of the stands.

As more people are requesting to be included in a squad, placing Dodgers into squads is becoming more onerous. KotR had increasingly forgotten to award the weekly medals. Robert has kindly said he will look after this in the future. However, recipients will continue to sign for them and have insurance in place should they befall some tragic event.

The route north on the M5 will be a bit of a buggeration for those who need to travel in that direction from South Worcester. Down to one lane at 4A, with queues backing towards J5 then the Devil’s own single file contra-flow at J2 – J1 with queues backing to Frankley Services. Should be over in two years, apparently.

On arriving back home, it appeared that Trevor had a voice mail from Shane. When the call was returned, it appeared that Shane had made the call in error after inadvertently handling his phone. The voice mail sounded (if Trevor’s memory serves him well) like a prolonged fart in the bath!
