We all need a shotgun license to enable us to enjoy our sport. The hat Eric L was ‘sporting’ this week, should also require a license. It was alright for him as he didn’t have to see it but sympathy must go to the other members of his squad. If he has not yet apologised to Rose, Suz and Mike – KotR does so on his behalf. However, it did bring Eric some luck as he is this week’s handicap winner.
Average score this week was 50.1. Bob W shot an excellent 66/75 whilst Bob J’s wheels came off during the second half of the shoot. Having dropped only one target up till then, it all went horribly wrongied! He did manage to achieve sixty though. Peter had another good score, finishing with 58.
Several of us commented that we were surprised we missed some of the targets. Occasionally this happens. The trigger is pulled and the expected puff of black does not materialise. Trevor’s 20 gauge Guerini was badly misbehaving following a lengthy spell in the cabinet.
This continued down at South Worcester. On the final stand, it was given the full Basil Fawlty treatment. This worked as it was the only ‘straight’ of the afternoon. Unbeknown to Trevor, a couple of shooters had arrived at the stand and were waiting to shoot. What would their thoughts have been during the verbal abuse and threats to a shotgun?
Another Extreme Shoot is being planned at HWSG. Please register you interest with Gareth if you are interested.
