Sad news indeed this week everyone. I've just learned that Dave Talbot who shot with us regularly during the Covid period, finally lost his lengthy battle against Cancer last week. I'm told he died peacefully with his family at his side.
David was a keen shooter who I first met with another group about ten years ago. A great guy, great fun, and great company. I shall miss him. We are advised by his family that there will not be a traditional funeral but a celebration of David's life. This will be held at the Queen and Castle Restaurent at Kenilworth. CV8 1ND.at 1pm on Friday the 11th of November.
The family would like to see as many of David's friends as possible to give him a good send off. Advise me by Friday the 4th if you would like to attend, (07836 367889).
The upsetting news above has left us with a stunted commentary this week I'm afraid.
Bob Warder took the scratch Gold medal with a fine 64 broken targets. Len S.was a close second with 63, with Dave Salter taking the Bronze spot with 62. Very close competition indeed. Handicap Gold went to Gary Griffiths with 61 that was 6 better than his much improved average. Handicap Silver was won by Bob's scratch winning score with the Bronze going to Len.
South Worcester's scratch top spot went to Dave Salter with a fine 81. Geoff Pomroy took the Silver spot with 78 hits. Len S's 77 took the third place. Geoff's 78 won him the Handicap Gold with Len taking the Handicap Silver spot with Dave Salter taking the Bronze spot.
