20.10.21. The wettest Wednesday for many years but it did not dampen the Dodgers enthusiasm for their noisy fix.
It was a pleasant surprise to see Peter Johnson getting his 'bird watching' back into play again. Peter has had knee replacements and was still moving rather gingerly on Wednesday It was great to have you back with the crowd Peter.
Bob Warder took top spot for both Scratch and the Handicap results. Given the prevailing wet and windy conditions, his 65 was 7 above his average and was simply outstanding.
The writer's 61 took the Silver while He Li took the third spot with his 59. Trevor Griffiths is still showing no signs of relegating his Guerrini Auto to the naughty cupboard. His 55 at Butlers took the handicap Silver while Don Walford's 40 breaks gave him a well earned bronze place. The 'keeper of the rabbit' took the scratch and handicap Gold at S.W. His 76 dusted clays beat Len's 74 and Li's 73 breaks.
Once again the windy conditions provided some interesting long range targets for all of us, but Trevor mastered them and put in a score that was 13 breaks better than his average. In my humble opinion, that provided the performance of the day. Geoff Pomroy's 70 gave him the Handicap Silver while He Li took the Bronze.
An interesting days shooting all round. As an aside, If you want yoiur results logging, can I ask that a picture of your scorecards be messaged to Len on 07836 367889. I shall be preparing medals for the Xmas shoot shortly and a good set of results helps with a fair distribution when the results are in.
