It would seem that reporting the extraordinary shooting conditions last week may have caused upset. If so, I apologise, but can I suggest that if for any reason, you cannot shoot a stand, you stop shooting and put a call in to Shane.who, in my experience, will put the matter right in minutes.
This applies particularly to stands that become potentially unsafe as happened in last week's winds. Shotguns are quite unforgiving.
Now to this week's scores. Weather and layout was good. Scores indicated that some difficult targets were put on. Scratch Gold was won by Geoff Pomroy with a score of 59. This also won him the Handicap top spot. Well shot Geoff. Len took Silver with 57 with Julian Shuker's handicap advantage giving him the Bronze with a tied 56. Handicap Silver was won by Ed Loft who's average is now regularly creeping over 50%. Keep it up Ed. Julian Shuker also took the Handicap Bronze.
The SW squad had a good soaking but Len's score of 86 comfortably took scratch Gold and proved that rain dosn't spoil targets. New boy, Howard Smith took Silver with 76 with Geoff Pomroy taking Bronze with just one target less. Handicap medals to Len (Gold), Trevor's 20g, Silver, and Geoff taking the last handicap prize. A good days shooting all round.
