December 22nd Christmas Shoot.

An overcast but dry day for our Xmas shoot. Not our greatest turnout but an enjoyable shoot and a tasty spread that was enjoyed by all.

Judged on the average scores, either Drew and Shane clipped a couple of testing stands, or, (what I prefer to believe}, the average Coffin Dodger improved his score by 5 targets last Wednesday.

Now to the results..The prestigious St Judes award for the most improved shot this year went to Steve Honner who's average score improved by a massive 11 points, this beat the second-place runner-up, Geoff Pomroy by a very clear 5 points. The top-scoring visitor was Jaffar Shamsuddin with a score of 50.

The scratch Top Gun was Bob Jordan with a massive 68 broken clays. This was 2 kills better than Bob Warder's Silver-winning score.

The scratch Bronze was just a target behind and was won by Julian Wazczak who dusted 65 targets.

All of the Handicap medals were won with personal best scores for the year. The Handicap Gold was won by Trevor Griffiths. Trevor has had a difficult year recovering slowly from major surgery and was unable to complete the course. His adjusted score however was his annual best and beat the Silver medal place by a clear 1.5 margin.

Handicap Silver was won by David Nightingale who scored a superb 64. which beat his previous best by 2 points. Handicap Bronze was won by Mike Lee Lambert who has improved steadily all this year. CDA Serendipity award went to David Nightingale for his unselfish support of all the Dodgers throughout the year.. (He has missed only one shoot this year) while Drew, the new trapper took the H&W medal. Another successful day.
