An overcast morning but perfect shooting conditions and some testing stands to keep everyone paying attention. They clearly were not too difficult as around half of our entries beat their handicap expectations.

Top scratch score was put in by Bob Warder, an excellent year best 63 broken targets earning him the day's gold medal. Len Sandford put in another year best of 60 kills to earn the scratch Silver place. Bronze medal position went to Dave Salter with 56 targets killed. Len's 60 earned him the Handicap Gold with Bob Warder taking the Silver spot. Trevor G's mighty 20g took the handicap Bronze position by beating his average by over 5 points. Well done everyone.

Another good set of targets at South Worcester with only one shooter managing to beat his own average. Len S took the scratch Gold position with 79 broken clays. Geof Pomroy was runner up with 72 targets dusted. Tony Gray took the scratch third positions with 70 broken targets. John Griffiths took the Handicap gold position yet again with his super little 28g. Week in, week out, his little smallbore proves that it can break anything the groundstaff can put on at South Worcester. Well shot John. Handicap runner up spot was taken by Len Sandford with Jonathan Skelding taking the handicap Bronze spot.

A little plug now for another group I shoot with just once a month. If anyone wants to try Oakedge Shooting Ground (formerly Shugborough) on the 11th of May, they can join us as a visitor for the day and enjoy 100 competely different targets. It costs £45.00 and that includes a bacon cob and a hot drink. Let me know on 07836 367889 before the weekend if you are interested or have any questions.
