The club was very well attended again this week, surprisingly so as the weather was rather unpleasant. There were four large squads with over twenty Dodgers shooting.

Unfortunately, because of the numbers now attending, we were having to queue, with quite a few of us suffering from the cold! This is not going to improve as the weather improves. More stands needed?

Unfortunately, Eric L and Ian J were unable to attend as they had to keep the country running by working!

Very well shot to Eric H. He managed to find time away from his new dog who could carry on ‘mining’ his home undisturbed! Hopefully Eric’s personal best for the year and this week’s high gun will take his mind off any ‘little presents’ Penny leaves. The only other score in the 60’s was from Len. Bob G (2) shot his personal best for this week’s handicap medal.

Many of us shot below our capabilities once again. KotR has found a return to a 12 gauge somewhat disturbing as his scores are well down! The Beretta had a good talking to but didn’t respond. It returns to the cabinet.

The club now has a defibrillator. Maggie gave an excellent demonstration of its use and answered many questions. We are grateful to The Charlotte & Craig Saving Hearts Foundation. www.ccshf.org.uk

The session was not very well attended considering the number of members at HWSG but there was good representation from the Dodgers. KotR was unaware of the problems nipple piercings could cause and will remove them asap!

Maggie asked if anyone would like to put into practice what she had demonstrated and Alison and Bob were soon to oblige. Trevor found that observing their efforts was very effective at reinforcing the procedures shown by Maggie. Well done to them both!

Thanks to all for supporting this.

KotR will copy the leaflets of Maggie’s story to all those on the Dodgers’ mailing list. Please give them a read.
