This week’s weather was a total contrast to that of last week and we enjoyed very pleasant shooting conditions.
The following all achieved personal best scores for the year so far: Bob J, Bob W, Rob, Suz, Howard, Mike, Ian J, Dave N and Simon. Particular mention to Dave N and Ian J for scoring in the 60’s. Just a few more like that for their High Five badges. Trevor tied with Bob J for high gun this week with 65/75. Simon and Howard tied for the handicap medal with 87.17.
The club has made a request for members to contribute to the defibrillator. Hopefully, this piece of equipment may never be needed but if it is, it could save a life, and it’s not just the old ‘uns that have heart attacks! A training session on its use will be arranged one Wednesday in April. Hopefully a good few of us will attend. We hope to practise on Malcolm!
Next Wednesday we shoot for The Alan Painting Handicap Shield in memory of our friend who passed away suddenly three years ago. KotR will announce the winner as soon as possible following the event.
When the Dodgers contingent arrived at South Worcester, John Clements had an evil glint in his eye as he described one of the targets he had put on. This was a distant crosser from the tower, travelling like an Exocet missile. We didn’t manage to hit any of these, until Ian stepped up with his 410 and completely bladderated the first target. We put it down to a fluke as he didn’t manage to repeat this success. John G can also be particularly satisfied with consistently hitting another very challenging tower target with his 28 gauge.
