Bob G (2) had organised a raffle with prizes of hand-crafted items in aid of Children in Need. Hopefully KotR will publish the winners and how much was raised.

The day was very well attended again, many of us making slow progress around the course. Twelve stands had been set up to cope with the increased number of shooters we are now experiencing. Had this not been done, we would have been very late finishing.

More people probably attended to take advantage of ‘Free Chip-Butty Sandwich Week’; there certainly appeared to be many ‘new faces’ there. I will not mention the word ‘Gannets’. Oops, I just think I mentioned the word ‘Gannets’ for some reason.

If you heard a sound similar to water dripping on a hot manifold, it would have been Len ‘spitting feathers’ having to miss his Wednesday shoot. He was needed to keep the wheels of industry rotating smoothly as our incompetent negotiators navigate their way through the stormy sea known as Brexit.

It was interesting to discover that Malcolm was very accomplished at reciting poetry. Who would have thought that? And… who would have thought THAT about Roy Rogers; should that part of the verse be true?

Ian J and Simon have been kind enough to over-see the catering for our Christmas shoot. Quite a number of Dodgers have already indicated what they might bring. We are usually well provided for on the day.

This week saw Bob J high gun with 62/75. Li shot an excellent 61/75 giving him the handicap. Trevor shot his old Miroku 26 in. Skeet gun at HWSG and SW, giving him a bad shoulder!

High gun at South Worcester saw very close competition, with Trevor giving a show lesson on the final stand in ‘how to cock-up a good score.’
