Quite a change from last week, weather wise. Very pleasant sunshine.
After reviewing the scores over recent months, it appears that either the targets are becoming more challenging or that our expertise is deteriorating! Very few 60’s have been reached and this week’s high gun only scored 55. Remember, that there is the ‘High Five’ badge award available but it will need scores in the 60’s to receive one.
There were only five of us to hit in the 50’s and Eric, who has been shooting well this year didn’t manage 40! There is no doubt that the ‘team’ at HWSG are presenting us with some first class targets. Len was high gun with Nigel retaining the handicap award. Trevor regained some form and managed 50 with his 28 gauge.
Li made his first appearance of the year and scored a creditable 51.
There was close competition at South Worcester this week with John G giving Len a ‘run for his money’. Despite his shoulder problem, John managed to complete the 100 bird course. He wins the handicap award this week!
Once again, Keeper of the Rabbit will take this opportunity to thank Worcester County Council for their road closures in the area. These caused much merriment for those attempting to find a route to the club.
