The Coffin Dodgers are an informal association of some of the less youthful and medically challenged Clay Shooters from around the English Midlands. We meet at the Hereford and Worcester Shooting Ground http://www.hwsg.co.uk/

A prayer to St. Jude
O most holy apostle St. Jude faithful servant and friend of Jesus.
We the Coffin Dodgers honour you as the patron of hopeless cases and of things almost despaired.
Pray for us for we are hopeless. Please bring us visible and speedy improvement. Come to our assistance each Wednesday morning, so that we may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all of our tribulations and sufferings, particularly when the targets seem to be indestructible.
We promise oh blessed St. Jude to be ever mindful of this great favour and to always honour you as our special and most forgiving patron and to gratefully encourage devotion to you by publishing this prayer.
Amen.
St, Judes day is October 28th
May 2020 Update
Well, at long last we’re back in business at the Hereford & Worcester Shooting Ground. The recent relaxation of the rules governing outdoor pastimes has enabled the ground to reopen. This has still left the ground staff with an awful lot of boxes to tick in order to ensure a Covid free shooting environment.
Until normality prevails, some basic conditions have been set out on the H&W website. Please read and observe them.
Can we please book in for our Wednesday shoot by ringing 01527 65496 and confirming by email if possible to INFO@HWSG.CO.UK This enables squads to be scheduled and avoids bunching around the ground.
The shoot last week went well. The new layout and staggered starts ensured that the small squads could move around easily without compromising the acceptable social distancing guidelines. We didn’t get all the scores back last week but suffice to say that out of those returned, Malcolm put in a great 58 that won him both medals. The lack of practice clearly helped him no end. Well Done Malc.

Our aim is to promote the social and physical wellbeing of our group whilst attempting to improve our general standards of marksmanship.
Our general lack of success on the shooting front has prompted many to suggest that we are being sponsored by ‘The Clay Pigeon Preservation Society’ We could not possibly comment on such speculation.
The association meets every Wednesday morning at 10am and welcomes new blood of any age and ability into the group.
High gun each week is allowed to hold a prestigious medal until the next shoot.
The Christmas shoot is the highlight of the year, when trophies for scratch and handicap are keenly contested.
If you are already clay shooting and interested in broadening your shooting horizons, either just turn with your musket or you can e mail us at coffindodgersassoc@googlemail.com
